Empowering Students to Explore STEM and Healthcare
WYSH is a youth-led initiative dedicated to expanding passion and opportunities for students in STEM and healthcare fields. Through mentorship, hands-on experiences, and school-based chapters, we help elementary, middle, and high school students discover their interests, build confidence, and begin exploring pathways toward future careers.

Think you can build a bridge stronger than everyone else?
Join WYSH for a hands-on engineering challenge where students will design, build, and test straw bridges while competing to see whose bridge can hold the most weight.

Participants in grades 6–12 will work in teams of 2–4 students and use straws, tape, and scissors to create their strongest bridge. Teams will then put their designs to the test in a live competition to see which bridge can hold the most weight. All materials are provided, and no prior engineering experience is required. Prizes will be awarded to the top teams.

Students may register with a team or individually and will be placed on a team if they do not already have one. Registration is required and spots are limited.
